Reflection

It seems to me that we all seem to put on various masks. Even when we are trying to be authentic, there are times that fear, pride or some other emotion takes over and we find ourselves trying to seem more than what we think we are. We puff ourselves up, more often than not, as a protective measure. I wonder what would happen if we all started walking by faith rather than by sight?

2 Corinthians 5:6-7 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord; For we walk by faith, not by sight

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to see how our entire culture would be changed if we were to walk by faith and allow our hearts to be transformed? If we were to love like Christ, without being self seeking what would that look like? It is a continually struggle, but, I really want to love like Christ loves; I want my life to reflect my relationship with Him. I want to try to be in step with Him.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
